      International Trial Watch – Catalan Referendum case has ensured the presence of national and international observers in the trial of Catalan pro-independence politicians and social leaders that took place before the Spanish Supreme Court.

      As a result of the observation and assessment of the Judgement 459/2019, individuals and organisations signing this assessment consider that the proceedings and judgment violate the following principles and rights: principle of legality in criminal law, right to liberty, freedom of expression, freedom of ideology, right to peaceful assembly and the free exercise of representative public office, as well as the right to due process and with all guarantees.
